Schönenbühl – Oberköhler – Sulzberg – Schönenbühl

This is a short walk to a cute little village with a fantastic view of the Alps. And not only that, there is also a choice of cafes and a cheese shop with local cheese on the way.

Start the hike at Schönenbühl, where there is a large parking lot by the Linde wellness hotel. The hiking path starts directly at the hotel. Make your way upwards across the meadows and enjoy the views of the mountains.

When you reach the road turn right and walk until it ends by a farm. Now the path leads a bit further uphill and the into the woods. Now it gets a bit steeper but only for a short while.

Soon you will reach a small road again. Turn right and stay on this road until it turns into a path. Soon it will get to a fork. Turn left and cross the meadow towards a little windmill from where you will have a fantastic view of the Austrian Alps.

Now turn left where the path will lead through woods once more until it reaches a road again. Continue towards Sulzberg which is only a few hundred meters along the road.

In Sulzberg you can follow the main road or turn right at the first bus station to walk until a slightly quieter path. Soon you will reach the church and then the center of the village. Here you have a choice of two cafes for a break, both of them with a great view.

Once rested, turn back out of Sulzberg and pass the cheese factory on the right. Now the path leads through a bit of moorland and then slightly uphill again.

Pass the farmhouse and now the path leads downhill across open meadows, which open a view of Pfänder near Lake Constance.

The path meanders back and forth across the meadows and soon you will reach the first road again on which you started out. Turn right along the road and before the farmhouse left again across the field and you are back at the start of the hike
