This is a glorious stroll through the alpine meadows and woodlands of deepest Appenzerllerland - surrounded by Appenzell mountains. There is even a barefoot section if you like to remove your hiking boots!

A perfect, easy half day hike to Brüggelekopf above Alberschwende. Throughout the hike there are views in all directions - to the Swiss Rhine valley, to the Bodensee, into Bregenzerwald and across to the Allgäu alps. No excuse not to go and do this wonderful stroll!

This is a lovely hike starting from the tranquil village of Rheinau with it's famous monastery. It passes along the river Rhine to the tourist hot-spot of the Rheinfälle waterfalls. Although busy, it is worth a visit before heading back to Rheinau along a different and very beautiful section of the Rhine.

A fantastic walk through the dramatic Rappenlochschlucht. It passes high above the gorge, around the Staufensee and then across the ancient Ammans bridge. A wonderful, exciting hike! Note - the gorge is closed from November to April.
