It’s summer and time to enjoy the high mountains!

It’s finally possible to get up into the high mountain areas – juhu!

We would recommend to visit Bernese Oberland in central Switzerland to gaze at the monster 4000m+ giants or south-east Switzerland which is so pretty. The Dolomites are also an option, but choose your area carefully – it can get very busy, especially during school holidays.

And even in summer, do take care on any steep patches of snow which still may be laying around.

Wasserauen – Ebenalp – Schäfler – Saentis (2501m) – Meglisalp – Wasserauen

The "classic", beautiful circular route to Saentis - and it's long! But you'll pass numerous huts, most with accommodation, so there are plenty of opportunities to make this a multi-day hike.
